THE PROBLEM
Eugene’s market is highly saturated with vintage stores and clothing resellers. The challenge was differentiating The Racks' distinct Y2K aesthetic to convert physical inventory and a student-led magazine into digital foot traffic and community awareness.
The Racks is a curated vintage retail shop in Eugene that focuses on quality secondhand and retro apparel. The store specializes in unique and sustainable fashion pieces and creates a community driven shopping experience that resonates with students and local shoppers.
THE STRATEGY
We shifted social priorities to short-form video on Instagram and TikTok. We emphasized the brand's Y2K identity across all assets and used the seasonal magazine to capitalize on the rising cultural trend of collectibles and physical media.
THE CREATIVE
We created platform-native videos and graphics emphasizing the Y2K aesthetic and the magazine's collectible nature. Key assets included BTS photoshoot footage, model styling videos featuring inventory, and on-site content capturing the energy of the seasonal markets.
THE OUTCOME
The campaign achieved record-breaking engagement, driving the highest volume of magazine sales in the brand's history. The digital push also generated the largest turnout ever recorded for the year-end seasonal vintage market from both students and the local community.
