Cat Rescue & Adoption Network (CRAN) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and placing cats and kittens from the Eugene–Springfield community into loving homes, with special emphasis on animals with special needs. CRAN operates through a network of foster homes and community adoption locations and relies on volunteers and donors to support medical care, socialization, and adoption services.
My Role:
As part of CRAN’s marketing team, I lead digital content and audience engagement efforts to support the rescue’s mission and increase visibility online:
Create and publish strategic social content on Instagram and Facebook that highlights adoptable cats, tells compelling rescue stories, and drives traffic to CRAN’s adoption and support pages.
Develop and distribute the quarterly CRAN newsletter, shaping messaging and visuals that inform the community about adoption stories, volunteer needs, fundraising initiatives, and impact metrics.
Analyze performance metrics (engagement rates, link clicks, open-rates) to refine messaging strategy and optimize content formats that support adoption, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising goals.
